We Exist to Exalt Jesus Christ. Exalt means to raise in rank, status, or character. To honor glorify and praise.
The Psalms are a rich resource for praising and exalting God in worship as we read in Psalm 97:9 “For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods” so “Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he” (Psalm 99:5). Let us “Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy” (Psalm 99:9) and pray “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth” (Psalm 108:5).
Let God alone be exalted for “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted” (Matt 23:12).
The Responsibility of Leadership at our church is to equip and empower the members of our congregation “for the work of ministry.” This will build up the body of Christ. Further, our church will continue to come together in unity and grow in the knowledge of God and maturity.
Ephesians 4: 11. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, 12. Equipping the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, 13. Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into maturity with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.
Romans 10:14
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
The disciples’ personal walk with Christ transformed their lives and equipped them to proclaim the Gospel. The Lord’s command to evangelize begins with the circles of influence in our daily lives and reaches to the ends of the earth. “Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel…” (Mark 16:15). “Repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations beginning in Jerusalem…” (Luke 24:47).
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
